It's a never-ending story. Not like the film though because there aren't any flying dog dragons in this story. Just a couple of idiots who can't for the life of them create and send proper DVDs out to their fans...

Getting to the point, if you received a damaged DVD and/or case in the mail, please send us a photo of the problem via email and we'll promptly send you a brand new disc in less shitty packaging.

Sorry for the problem and thanks for your understanding!

My god, they're in the mail. I never thought I'd find myself typing that, but it's true. Seth was in town these past few days and we sent them all off on Monday. So yeah, I guess Take Me Back is finished. Weird...

Anyway, please give the discs a bit of time to arrive. If they don't or if they do but don't work for some reason, please send us an email. Also, we've noticed that a few players will automatically play the english subtitles. I spent around 3 days trying to fix this problem and used every trick in the book but alas, the software stumped me. The easiest solution: Check the setting in your DVD player and make sure the subtitles aren't set to play automatically (why this affects TMB and no other DVDs, I have no clue - also, you can always just switch them off while the movie is playing). That aside, everything should be good. We put a lot of work into this and we both really hope you all enjoy watching everything.

Now on to new projects...

Hi Everybody,

First of all, Happy New Year! We hope you all had a fun and relaxing holiday and that you're all revved for more work/school/unemployment.

Ok, so here's some long awaited news on the DVDs. We finally found a nice little gap in our schedules to finish them up and we plan on sending them to the lab to make copies by next Friday (January 16). Once they're back we just have to package and label everything and let the post office take care of the rest. So, this means a few things…

1) If you moved at some point in the last few months, please send us an updated mailing address. Send a new one to joeandseth@tmbtheseries.com with the subject "DVD ADDRESS CHANGE".

2) We've received a few emails from people who are understandably upset with the long wait. If you are one of these people, please accept our most sincere apologies. We never expected the DVDs to take this long. But like we've said in the past, we're only two people and unfortunately other work has gotten in the way (for example, a new web series). Having said that, if you would like to cancel your order and receive a full refund, please let us know. Again, DO NOT HIT REPLY. Just send us a new email with the subject "CANCEL MY ORDER" and we will refund your money via PayPal (please include your PayPal account email address).

So there you have it. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask us. Once, again, we're very sorry about the wait. If we had a (working) time machine we'd go back and change things.

Be good!

Hello everyone!

We realize that it's been a while since our last update and we apologize. We haven't forgotten about anyone and we certainly have not forgotten about the DVD, but we are, however very sorry for the huge delay. Everyone who has ordered a disc has been very patient and we both really appreciate that so we'd like to thank you all yet again for your support and understanding.

So, to make matters simple, and hopefully a little more fun than reading another newsletter, we decided to make this amazingly awesome and somewhat lengthy VIDEO wherein we apologize again, explain the whole affair and even throw in a few juicy tidbits at the end. It's got romance, comedy, international intrigue and kittens. We've covered all our bases so stop reading and go watch the bloody thing.

---

However, for the video impaired, here's the scoop in simplified note form:

-The DVD is happening, and it's a few weeks from being done. The music, sound and featurette are all nearly complete, the feature edit itself is done and we'll be recording the commentary this weekend. There's no real excuse for it taking this long except to say that it really is just the two of us working on this and we've been very busy lately so it's been hard to find the time. But it's happening. We promise. I mean, look at Ringo Starr, that asshole won't even make time for his fans anymore. Were better than that, right? So peace and love, thanks for the patience. Peace and love.
-We did a fun interview for Sound Faction, a Toronto-based webzine. Read it here, it's fun! Peace and love.
-Take Me Back is playing at the Cinema Tous Ecrans film festival in Geneva, Switzerland. Check it out! We finally made it offline. We're legit now. Peace and love.
-And Darren Fung, our beautiful super-composer has scored a place in Canadian sports history (Get it? Scored? Sports? It's a pun, you see) by composing the new old Hockey Night in Canada theme. There's a neat little video about it here. Peace and love.

Thanks again for your incredible patience. We're doing everything in our power to finish the DVD off ASAP, so please be patient for just a short while longer and you'll be rewarded with a nice little package in the mail soon enough.

Take care everyone and be in touch!

Peace and love.

Are you guys making a sequel? What the hell are you doing?? And what's going on with my DVD??? (you might be wondering...)

It's a bit hard to gauge just how many of you are sitting by your computers, biting your nails and tearing your hair out in eager anticipation of our next project, but from where we both stand now, things are looking pretty good. And I like to think that there's at least one of you out there somewhere doing all of the above.

Without giving away too many details, Seth and I are both doing quite well, working our way through the last few weeks of the summer in our respective cities, chipping away at the DVD whenever we have a chance, but more importantly, chipping away at some increasingly exciting new projects that with any luck are just around the corner (and by "around the corner," I mean "many many months away from seeing the light of day"). We're working on some pretty interesting stuff for the web and beyond, and while it's probably safe to say that you won't be getting a season 2 of Take Me Back, what you will be getting once we make it out the other side of all this will be pretty damn exciting.

And there's the DVD. We haven't forgotten about this, nor have we stopped working on it while we have the time, it's just hard to keep something like that at the top of our list of priorities when there are so many other projects clamoring for our attention. Also, Seth's hard drive crapped out on him a few weeks back and he lost every single file relating to TMB, so it's been an uphill struggle to get ourselves back on track.

That being said, we truly do appreciate all your patience, and again, we'd like to offer a huge apology to those who've paid to own the series on DVD. We're working on it, and in due time it will all be ready and in the mail.

Thanks again for everything, let's hope the next update is the big one.

Hello one and all!

It's been a while since our last update. But here it is...

Joe and I have received number of emails regarding the Take Me Back DVDs so we wanted to fill you in on what's been happening. Rest assured, we haven't forgotten about the DVDs, or you guys for that matter. We have been working hard on putting everything together to make it the best possible DVD for our fans (you). However, as you all know, this is a two-man operation, and as such, there are only two guys to do the work of many more people (Kind of like when we made TMB). So, all that to say that things have been taking longer than we had originally expected.

We still plan on shipping those DVDs as soon as possible, but you'll just have to sit tight until they're ready. We're really sorry about that. In addition to putting the DVDs together, we've also been especially busy developing a number of other "Joe and Seth" projects, which, while we're really excited about these projects, we're really sorry that they're getting in the way of the TMB DVDs. Not to mention that Joe's efforts at growing his sideburns for the summer have also gotten in the way of real work.

So... again, big apologies for the wait. But Joe promises that his facial hair will be 10 times more exciting than TMB (and with equal amounts of Sci-Fi), so at least there's that to look forward to.

Please don't hesitate to write us with any questions. We'll be sure to write another post once there's more news to report.

As you've probably noticed by now, the "support us" page has been replaced with the vastly superior DVD page. The set up is pretty simple and you can pay with either a Paypal account or a major credit card. So pick yourself up a copy when you have a chance, or maybe buy one for a friend and open their eyes to the mind blowing, life-altering experience that is Take Me Back.

In related news, Seth just got into town today and he'll be donning the frumpy old tech-geek attire again for the first time in nearly a year for our mini-shoot this weekend. We've got a couple of fun little scenes planned that will help fill in the gaps to make TMB a feature length film. So if you're in Montreal and you see a guy that looks like Al with a lanky red-headed fellow out buying second hand clothes or schlepping around a camera, you'll know what it's for (and feel free to say hi!).

And a big thanks to everyone who's supported us by pre-ordering their DVDs. Thank you!

Well, well, well, it's finally here! It's been a great time and now it's all over! Well, over in the sense that there are no more new TMB chapters. But the site is still up, and there will be DVD info very very shortly.

Thanks to everyone who showed their support throughout the last 10 weeks. It is very much appreciated. And stay tuned for more from Joe and Seth!

Until then, here are two new reviews/interviews...

So you'll notice that there's a new box on the main page that does little more than send you here. It's a bit of a tease, I know, but here's the explanation:

Seth and I have been working hard on putting together a DVD, but we've also been working hard on 14000 other things that have popped up recently, so we're feeling a little overwhelmed. Once we've had some time to sort through the logistics of it all, we'll set up the pre-sales so that you can order your very own super amazing copy of TMB on DVD.

It's annoying, I know, but I promise you the disc is on it's way. In fact, there may very well be more than one disc, with behind the scenes video and photos, interviews with all sorts of interesting folks, exclusive new footage, director's commentary and an extra little surprise or two. It'll be worth the wait.

So thanks for understanding and being so patient! We'll let everyone know as soon as we're able to go ahead and start selling them. If you haven't already, please join our mailing list so that we can keep you informed on the DVD and other news.

Enjoy the rest of the series!
